Something very annoying (to say the least) I've noticed on both DA and FA for some time now. Artists letting being good (or even moderate like myself) get to their heads. Here's the big one I hear alot:
On the journal it reads; "I do requests! I do trades! Yes, I do commissions! I do them for anyone who wants one."
Um.....no. Here's the reality translation;
"I SAY I'll do it for anyone what I MEAN is IF you're in my clique."
Look, people. I have no problem with artists only doing trades commish requests etc for friends only...what I hate is you saying "for anyone!" when what you mean is "if...you're in my clique."
SO many times I ask myself and get denied but oh gee there's a shout on her profile page "hey thanks for that drawing you made me etc etc and this person JUST so happens to be on their friends list....if you only want to do art for friends, SAY SO! That's cool. Just don;t claim otherwise and be a fucking snob ass bitch when somebody outside of your little art clique asks you for it.
Examples...even some people here on DA I've seen doing this who shall remain nameless. Hey, man! Won't catch me doin' this shit. you want art from me? ASK and you shall receive dont matter if you're in my peeps or not. But that's me I don't think I'm better than everyone else so only my "elite" get my art. I'm serious man I got a paid commish right now from a talented artist but I prepaid him and I was looking for my colored commish yesterday and I see instead of doing my paid commission he's putting up giftart. Ok...now if this was pre-made and he just posted it then I will shut up right now. BUT if you spent all night doing that gift art INSTEAD of my prepaid commission then man that's just fucked its art snobbery! somebody ever wanted a commish from me i sure as hell would do it b4 i do my own shit if its pre paid like that. its just courtesy. then there's the other artist on fa. same thing. "i do commissions!" ALL his buddies on there get one...i have asked him now 4 times and he only gives me vague responses AKA the response "piss off you aint in my clique."
FUCK YOU PEOPLE!
